About

One person, and a phone that is already yours.

Tech Sidekick is a one-person company in Utah, working remotely with people and small businesses across the United States. There is no call centre behind this, and no queue you get passed along.

TODO(braeden): founder intro, about 60 seconds

Filmed on a phone, no music, no production. If that is not what you want from the person who looks after your tech, we are probably not the right fit — and we would rather you knew that now.

The idea is not new. It is just new for tech.

If you run a business, you probably have a lawyer on retainer. You do not call them only when you are being sued. You call them when you are about to sign something and want a straight answer first, and the answer does not come with a bill attached to it.

Your accountant works the same way. They are not a stranger you hire in a panic every April — they already know your situation, so the conversation starts in the middle instead of the beginning. That is most of the value: not having to explain yourself from scratch.

Tech is the one place people never set that up. So when something breaks, you are hunting for somebody, explaining everything from zero, and hoping the number at the end is fair. This is that arrangement, for the tech. You pay monthly, and when something goes wrong it is already handled.

You will not need us most months. That is the point, and it is the same reason you leave a spare key with a neighbour: the value is not in the ordinary Tuesday. It is in the one afternoon where everything has gone sideways and you already know exactly who to message — and you already know what it will cost, because it is the same as every other month.

FOUNDER_NAME, founder of Tech Sidekick

Who you are actually talking to

Hi, I’m FOUNDER_NAME.

Founder

FOUNDER_BIO_PARAGRAPH_1 — one or two sentences on who you are and how long you have been doing this work. Keep it plain. No job titles you would not say out loud.

FOUNDER_BIO_PARAGRAPH_2 — the moment that made you build it this way. Most people in this line of work are paid more when they find more wrong. Say what you saw, and why the flat fee exists.

FOUNDER_BIO_PARAGRAPH_3 — what someone can expect when they message. Who reads it, how fast, and what you will not do.

The six commitments

The same six, at the bottom of every page they belong on.

These are not marketing lines. They are the constraints the business is built inside, and a few of them cost money on purpose.

  1. Flat monthly fee. Nobody here earns more by selling you more.
  2. We’ll tell you when you don’t need something.
  3. We’ll tell you when it’s free somewhere else — and where.
  4. We’ll tell you when we’re not the right fit.
  5. We never ask for your passwords.
  6. No contract. Cancel anytime.
